What is Dragon’s Blood?
Sangre de grado or Dragon’s blood is the name of a tree which grows mainly in the Amazon rain forest but can be also found in Yemen and China. The tree’s red dark sap is known for its healing properties and the people of the Amazon refer to it as the “liquid bandage” because of its ability to heal wound, cuts, bites, rashes and other skin problems. They consider it to be the most valuable “first aid” substance thanks to its broad range of remedies.
Throughout history the resin has been used by the Greek and Roman soldiers to heal and rapidly close their wounds and most likely since the beginning of time it was applied externally and taken internally by the native inhabitants of the Amazon jungle to help with ulcers, diarrhea and hemorrhoids.
Several studies and researches show that Sangre de drago is the most powerful antioxidant found in natural form containing over 90% of proanthocyanidin which is one of the most potent antioxidants. Having high antioxidant properties makes the sap very efficient in reviving body cells and tissues.
Physical injury: Sangre de drago is the best solution for wounds, cuts, bites, burns, rash etc. It will create a latex layer over the effected area which will disinfect it, stop the bleeding and will help the body heal the area in a short period of time. If you have kids this is definitely the best natural solution to apply.
Body Skin: The antioxidant properties of Sangre de Drago make it an exceptional facial to rejuvenate skin tissues and help with acne and herpes simplex.
Antioxidant Nutrition: Sangre de drago is one of the best natural sources of powerful antioxidants. Use it as a supplement in your diet and you will enjoy cardiovascular health.
Mouth & Gums: Use Sangre de grado to stop bleeding gums, prevent infections and help with mouth ulcer.
Throughout much of the Amazon rainforest, Dragon’s blood, called both Sangre de Drago and Sangre de Grado, is the primary topical aid for just about anything bad that can happen to skin. Cuts, bites, burns, stings, rashes, abrasions, sores, and wounds and skin insults of all kinds benefit from application of the healing red latex of this tree.Dragon’s blood contains a broad range of naturally-occurring compounds, many of which have been well studied. The sap is rich in protective antioxidant phenols, and anti-inflammatory compounds of various kinds. Due to these compounds, Dragon’s blood sap helps to protect the cells of the skin, and reduces redness and swelling. It also contains a group of compounds called proanthocyanidins, which actually repair collagen, the lattice-like main protein that makes up much of our tissues. Additionally, Dragon’s blood contains taspine, a known tissue-healing agent. The sap also demonstrates antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal activity. This is why Dragon’s blood is so widely used on infectious skin conditions of all kinds with great success.

“The results of in vitro and in vivo studies largely support the majority of ethnomedical uses of sangre de drago including the treatment of diarrhea, wounds, tumors, stomach ulcers, herpes infection, the itching, pain and swelling of insect bites, and other conditions. Clinical studies of sangre de drago products have reported positive results in the treatment of traveler’s and watery diarrhea and the symptoms of insect bites. Because the sap has shown low toxicity and preparations used in clinical studies were well tolerated, further clinical and pharmacologic studies are anticipated.” — Jones K. — Armana Research, Inc
